Automation Through Cloud Computing

Automation through Cloud Computing is a proven delivery platform for the data center.  We will discuss both a bottom up and a top approach, as both are commonly applied.  The presentation will include an update on Cloud concepts and terms.  We will focus on how test automation in particular decreases manual labor in the data center, allowing IT professionals to focus on more valuable tasks.

Gary Wiseman started his IBM career in development on what became the Power server in Austin, TX.  He designed workstations and 3D graphics cards and drivers.  Later he was the Chief Architect for the IBM IntelliStation, IBM's X86 based workstation.  He managed the architects of IBM's X5 chipset.  For the last 5 1/2 years he has served as a Systems Architect in technical sales.  He leads the Cloud architects in the East Region.

Message from the President

Last month, well, last month was a bummer.  We had great aspirations of having an appearance by IBM's "Watson" in some form, but.....that didn't happen...Live and learn, I did.

This month we're going to the cloud, and IBM's Gary Wiseman is going to take us there.  Gary started out designing workstations, graphics cards, drivers...the hardware we take for granted.  He was the Chief Architect for IBM's IntelliStation, and he directed the architects of IBM's X5 chipset.  Gary has, for the last 5.5 years, been involved in technical sales as a Systems Architect.  Now Gary leads the "Cloud" architects in the East Region, bringing us to a point where we're about to step away from conventional, traditional computing...to where no one has gone before.  Sounds like science fiction, but it's not.  The world is changing and technology is changing rapidly.  In the very near future the computer you're programming--if you're programming--will more than likely not be in the room down the hall, but "in The Cloud."  Scary?  Sure is...

We need to know what's coming our way.  We need to know how new technology will change the seats we sit in, and the hats we wear at work.  Gary knows what's coming--he's developing and implementing in The Cloud.  Join us to get an idea what's coming our way.  "The Cloud" is here now, and growing.

We all need to know....

May The Force be with us!
